I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, specializing in fitness nutrition and weight loss. I’ve been a personal trainer for five years now and let me tell you, it is my dream job! I love helping others change their lives.
I am married to my best friend and we currently live in south Florida with our German Shepherd mix Zeke and adorable cat Chaff. Other than being in the gym (whether I am training others or working out myself), I love to read, write, and go adventuring! I am also a mental health advocate and a septic shock survivor.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and Professional Writing. Combining my passions for fitness and writing is exactly how The Fit Writer was born back in April of 2017. I have also evolved into a podcast, lovingly named The Fit Writer podcast where I talk about health, nutrition, and mental health.
I want to reach others from all around the world to teach them that a healthy and balanced lifestyle is not impossible, as well as that mental health is just as important as physical health.
What is different about me?
I am totally real with my readers. I don’t sugarcoat things. I take pride in being completely transparent about certain aspects of my life and mental health. I try to add humor and sass into my posts in hopes of getting my readers to crack a smile. I try to respond to every comment and every message I get.
I never promote a brand or product simply to make money or get something for free. I always make sure that I stand behind whatever I promote and truly believe in it. Otherwise, you will not find it on my blog or social media!
I strive to be myself, which also includes being a little dorky in my posts, podcast episodes, and photos. I don’t take a lot of photos where I am posing. I rarely have professional pictures done so everything on my blog and social media is raw and natural.
Above all, I am a one-woman show here at The Fit Writer and I like it that way! I am truly passionate about what I do and I cannot wait for the future of my blog.

I am in the process of writing my own 8-week workout program as well as providing online training and nutrition coaching.
