Oh, well hello there!

Chances are you are here to learn a little bit more about me! Thank you for stopping by!

My name is Kayla. I am twenty-six years old, married to the love of my life, and I have one cat and one dog (my “children”). We all live in Tucson, Arizona! I’m a bit of a goober. I am a free-spirit with a sassy attitude.

I love a lot of random things like animals, cacti, drinking my coffee black, witty words, and when I find a pen that the ink flows smoothly out of. I am a true Arizona girl; I love the dry heat, sunshine, and monsoons (as long as I am NOT driving in them). I also really love to clean, which I know is odd, but I find it very therapeutic!

I also love to write, read, exercise, and make a difference in people’s lives in some way, shape, or form. I am a Certified Personal Trainer specialized in weight loss and fitness nutrition as well as an independent distributor and coach with Herbalife. I run my own business, both in person and online, creating workout programs and counseling people about their nutrition. I absolutely love what I do. I can’t think of a better feeling when a client reaches a goal!

I am also an online student at Grand Canyon University, majoring in English with an Emphasis in Professional Writing. I do not want to teach English; for some reason everyone asks me this when they find out what program I am in! I want to write professionally about health, fitness, and nutrition! My end goal is to just write for my own blog and have a successful business. I think I am on the right track!

I am a sepsis survivor. I contracted sepsis when I was just sixteen years old after a botched appendectomy. I nearly died and this event is what made me start taking care of my body better.

Another important topic to me is mental health. I am a contributor on The Mighty where I write about my own mental illnesses. I truly believe that health is not just about physical health; there are other types of health we need to be focusing on as well!

For whatever reason you are here, I want you to know that you are welcome and I am glad you found me! Hopefully you will find what you are looking for whether it is information, a friend, or even a couple of laughs to lighten up your mood.

Thank you for being here! Enjoy!
